CCTC engages Scouting movement once again

“It was a very worthwhile experience mixed with excitement, thrill, and fun especially spending it all with my comrades,” said scout John Marco Tito from his experience in the camporal.Tito was just on of the selected senior scouts who represented Consolatrix College of Toledo City as they participated in the Boy Scouts – Girl Scouts of the Philippines (BSP – GSP) School – based Camporal on July 21 – 22 at the Toledo National Vocational School (TNVS).

“Scouts as Young Life Savers: Always Prepared, Always Survived” was the theme that pushed the scouts to be fully equipped in the enrichment of their skills and their total development as learners and “life savers.” Some selected students from the University of San Jose – Recoletos (USJ – R) and the TNVS also participated in the said event.

Moreover, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) of Toledo City went to the camp - site and conducted a seminar about the first aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).Different trainings and constructive games also occurred at the two – day activity, leaving the scouts to be more physically and mentally functional in any circumstance.

After five years of not engaging in the scouting movement, Mr. Edwin Jo Jardin and Mrs. Mary Jane Jardin together with the administration, aims to be active in scouting activities once again, for they know how much a servant – leader can change the future of the community.
